TAKE ME HOME

TAKE ME HOME / BRING MICH NACH HAUSE / خذنى إلى المنزل

Danylo Symonovych — Director & Project Lead

About the project

TAKE ME HOME

A voice speaks in its first language, and the German follows in subtitles.

In this participatory performative reading, people with migration experience wrote autobiographical texts about what home means to them and how that meaning shifted after migration. On 13 April 2024 they performed these texts themselves, each in their native language.

My role

I conceived and directed the reading, developed the texts dramaturgically with the participants and led the project from first idea to public performance.
